Indications: Enteric-coated to minimize stomach irritation. Crush or chew two aspirin tablets as advised by a doctor for potential heart attack prevention therapy. This medication is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

 

Dosage:  Adults - For adults aged 18 and above, the recommended dosage for doctor-supervised, long-term preventive therapy is 1 to 4 tablets daily as directed by your physician, ensuring not to exceed the prescribed dose. In the event of a heart attack, promptly call 911 and crush or chew 2 tablets. It's essential to inform emergency services or the hospital that you have taken ASA DAILY LOW DOSE 81 mg.

Caution:  Do not administer to children or teenagers under 18 years old with chickenpox, cold, or flu symptoms due to the potential risk of Reyes Syndrome, a rare but severe illness associated with ASA. ASA may also cause stomach bleeding; discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms such as faintness, vomiting blood, black or bloody stools, or persistent stomach pain occur. Avoid taking other products containing ASA, salicylates, or NSAIDs while using this medication. ASA may trigger severe allergic reactions, including skin rash, facial swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing; seek medical help immediately if an allergic reaction occurs. Refrain from using ASA if you are allergic to ASA, salicylates, or other NSAIDs, have asthma triggered by these substances, have or had an ulcer, are prone to bleeding, have liver or kidney disease, are in the last trimester of pregnancy, or use methotrexate 15 mg per week or more, or with NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have underlying health conditions such as stomach problems, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, gout, severe anemia, or if you consume three or more alcoholic drinks daily, take other medications (especially acetaminophen, diuretics, blood thinners, methotrexate, steroids, seizure medications, arthritis medications, diabetes medications, or gout medications), are over 60 years old, pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, or scheduled for surgery within 5 to 7 days. Discontinue use and seek medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction, hearing loss, ringing or buzzing in the ears, pain lasting more than 5 days, fever lasting more than 3 days, or redness or swelling. Keep out of reach of children; this package contains a sufficient amount of medication to cause serious harm if ingested by a child.
